A busy weekend

I finished Chapter 4 of Maiden of Pain, mailed off the contracts and a couple synopses for the short story I’ll be contributing to the upcoming Realms of the Dragons II anthology, completed a web design project I was doing on the side, and mowed the yard.
I’m anxious to hear back from Phil Athans, the managing editor for the Forgotten Realms novel line, on my story ideas. I wasn’t totally satisfied with either, as there were definite areas in need of further development. Of the two, I probably favor the one that features the protagonist from Maiden. Not because it’s necessarily a better story, but because I really like the character, though she wouldn’t be the focus of the plot in this case.
