Gotta love them perks

Okay, I’m gonna brag a little. I’m going to rub your noses just a bit in the fact that I work for the biggest producer of roleplaying games. I’ll try not to make it hurt too much.
I get stuff. For free.
One of the first questions Phil Athans asked me was what rulebooks I owned. Within days of signing the contract, I got everything I didn’t have, plus the novels that were being produced at the time. Now, every couple months, I get a little care package from Wizards. Yesterday, I got Complete Divine, the Expanded Psionics Handbook, and Map Folio I. Half the stuff is sitting out in a sealed storage box in the garage (which reminds me, I need to pull Draconomicron out for my short story). I’m amazed at how generous WotC is in this area.
From a writer’s standpoint, this is an incredible resource. As a gamer, it’s a bit of a double-edged sword. I’ve been trying to come up with a character concept for the new campaign my RL group is starting, set in the FR nation of Aglarond. The wealth of options available is a bit overwhelming.
Yeah, I know, life is rough.
