Long weekend

It’s yet another three-day weekend as America celebrates its independence on Sunday the 4th, and most offices close down on the 5th in recognition of the holiday.
I’ll be busy. There’s the obligatory barbecue Sunday night. I also want to finish the short story for Realms of the Dragons 2 by Monday. Then there’s the RPG editor test I got in the mail yesterday from Wizards. I saw the opening and sent in an online application earlier in the week. The test is ten or so pages from an upcoming source book. I’d like to be able to send it back in the mail on Tuesday.
This will be the second time I’ve applied for a position with them (not counting the open call). Working at WotC would be a neat experience, combining two great passions of mine: writing and gaming. It would involve a move, however, which makes salary a big consideration should they offer me the position. The Seattle area has a higher cost of living than where I’m currently at.
Everybody have a safe and fun 4th of July. I’ll see you on Tuesday.
