In our top story, Kameron fell off the wagon this weekend. After six months of sobriety, the would-be author reinstalled MechCommander 2 on his computer and spent most of the weekend freeing Carver V from the stranglehold of various factions.
“I’m so ashamed,” Kameron said in a public statement. “I feel like I’ve let everybody down. I hope they will forgive me. I know, now, I need help.”
When asked how this would affect his writing, he responded that the delays would be minimal.
In other news, an unexpected communique from fellow author Edward Bolme has Kameron considering a move to Edmonton, Alberta. It seems that successful software developer BioWare is hiring additional writers/designers, and Mr. Bolme, who recently accepted an appointment there, offered to pass along Kameron’s interest and availability. Kameron had previously applied for a similar position with the company during the development of the award-winning crpg Neverwinter Nights. Bob McCabe, a current employee and aquaintance of Kameron, is being sought for further comment.
Kameron was also testing to become an RPG editor with Wizards of the Coast, a hobby-gaming company located in Renton, WA. It is not known at this point which position he would take, should the opportunity to choose either come about.
