Scenes and pacing

I’ve got two scenes left on my RotD2 story. Well, three really, but the last two run together. I’ve used a lot of scene breaks in this piece, which is not my usual style. Typically, my short stories flow from beginning to end, with maybe only one or two scene breaks.
In this story, I have a break after almost every scene, and there are more than ten scenes. It gives it a very episodic feel, and quickens the pace. A good combination for an “action” piece.
I’m also happy with the pace of my writing. It feels like I’m back in a groove (I almost titled this post “How Kameron Got His Groove Back”), which bodes well for when I switch back to MoP.
