I emailed Ginger Ahn, the marketing person for books over at WotC, a copy of the press release for Maiden and my original excerpt I sent in for the open call. Legal has to approve both before I can send the former to local news outlets and post the latter to the website. I also emailed a query to Dragon for an article that would stat out a magic item I created for use in my RotD2 story.
It felt good to be working on writing-related stuff again. I’ve been idle since handing in the final draft of Maiden. I’m going to ride this wave of initiative and spend a couple hours tonight really hammering out some details on my outline for Shattered Amulet.
