My first book signing

The signing was a modest success. A total of 7 people stopped by, but one guy just wanted to know where the bathroom was and another was simply curious what was going on. Of the remaining 5, four of them were friends or co-workers. I signed 9 books and sold 7.

Numbers aside, I had fun. I basically spent an hour and a half talking gamer-geek. Below are links to a five minute video of the experience. This little kid shows up a couple times and really steals the show. Enjoy.

I can’t seem to get the video to work, only the audio. Any tips?

Which version are you using, 56k or 384k? Are you using Windows Media Player or some other software? (Can you tell I do tech support?)

It appears it may be a browser issue. I can get it to work fine in Internet Explorer, but Firefox doesn’t seem to like it for some reason.

I was using Firefox but just tried it with IE. Same thing.

I even downloaded the whole thing and tried it.

    Anyone else having similar difficulties?

Video worked for me (using IE).

Finally, we have a face to the name. :) No MoPers showed up?

Signed 9 books and sold 7? Did someone leave the signed books on the table?

Cute kid by the way. Priceless look when your wife asked “what are you doing?” Nothing… Pay no attention to the mess… lick, lick, lick lol

No, a friend pre-ordered both books from Amazon and brought those to be signed. And no MoPers. I think the only one in the area was Eric, and I believe he was in the process of moving to Seattle from Salem, OR.

Indeed! I live up in Seattle these days, and I didn’t have time to shoot down Saturday (3 hours is quite the drive, after all). We’ll cross paths eventually, Kam! :)
