It was a productive weekend. We spent Saturday morning cleaning for the open house. Only one person showed, so I spent the afternoon filling out application paperwork, writing my essays, and going over the checklists to make sure I had everything. I did. The packets will go out in the mail this afternoon or tomorrow. Now it’s time for FAFSA.
I also submitted “Talking to Fish” to Glimmer Train. This is the second time I’ve submitted this particular story to them, and my third submission overall to the quarterly reader. I figured that if the revisions made the story strong enough to submit with my application, that it was worth trying to get it published again.
