Strike three, but I’m not out

I got a rejection letter from the last of the three universities I applied to, Western Washington. At least they offered to discuss how to strengthen my application. I plan to contact them during the window of time they set aside.
While I was definitely surprised and somewhat disappointed, the impact was lessened by the fact that I’ve been hired as a technical writer by the State of Oregon Department of Human Services. It’s ironic, as one impetus for going back to school was the inability to get hired as a technical writer since graduating almost three years ago.

There’s more schools out there!
It’s great that you’re writing professionally on a full-time basis now. That’s sweet.

Congrats on the side-shift.
Similar thing happened to me. I had trouble finding a job, thought I’d do an online degree with a local institute… shortly after semester starts, I was hired. And it’s now been a year.
Life’s funny like that.
