Full steam ahead

It has been a busy month since GenCon. Here’s what I’ve been up to.
Goldbox Media Group
I completed my business plan last week and am now trying to woo investors. I met with the senior advisor of the Game Art & Design program at the Art Institute of Portland, who invited me to attend their graduate Portfolio Show last week, which I did. I’m in the process of interviewing candidates to do the modeling and animation for the company’s first product. The plan is to start production in October.
Bioware
I finally finished the last round of tweaks on my NWN module and resent it to Bioware. It’s been a couple weeks without a response, but it took them at least that long to get back to me originally. With production starting on my own game, I’m not too anxious to pick up and move to Texas. I’ve learned quite a bit about writing dialogue for games, and I plan to write about the differences compared to writing dialogue for fiction in an upcoming post.
Writing
I’ve paused my work on the short story for the Sails & Sorcery anthology, though I’ll be getting back to it soon. The January deadline allowed me to bump it down the list. I have proposals for two secret projects to work on, one of which I need to complete by this weekend. It took me a bit to come up with an idea that fit with the requested theme, but I’m happy with the idea and look forward to fleshing it out. I have some more research to do for the other proposal, but the idea has been in my head for a few months now, so I don’t forsee it taking me very long to write up.

Good luck on the NWN module! I’m hoping for you on that. I know we talked about it a little and I have confidence and faith in your abilities.
Also the S&S anthology, but as I’m writing my own proposal, I’ll just say “ARR!”
Cheers
