We found a developer

My company, Goldbox Media Group, has contracted FigBox Games to develop the Flash engine for Eternal Warlords: Arena, our turn-based, multiplayer strategy game. This is great news. The first quarter of this year was an exercise in frustration as we struggled to make forward progress. We should have a beta copy of the game ready for public testing by the end of August. I’m so excited. Things will be moving fast. We still need to buy the server and set up collocation, get the game portal website developed, and start up the marketing machine.

That doesn’t leave a lot of room for writing. I still have the Janner Kohl story circulating, and I’ve been writing some scripts for a web-based superhero comic I hope to release as GMG’s second product. I open up the Word file for my novel every once and a while to type a couple hundred words, but it’s definitely on the back-burner.

Congratulations! This is wonderful news. Plus, it opens the option of me harassing you at GenCon for being so busy. >:)

Woo! Can’t wait to play it, Kam. Good to hear GMG is going strong, you know how envious I am (and how I wish I could have jumped on board).

I can understand about being busy with too many things, I haven’t touched my drawing tablet in months. :(
